Global Marketing Network and IPD-Open University Malaysia Form Collaboration to Raise Standards in Professional Development for the Marketing Community

  
 

Global Marketing Network, the worldwide membership association for marketing and business professionals and IPD-Open University Malaysia have formed a collaboration to work with each other to raised standards in marketing education and professional development.

Under the agreement, IPD-Open University Malaysia will become a GMN Approved Professional Development Centre delivering programmes and workshops that support the GMN Global Marketer Programme leading to a Masters in Global Marketing Practice validated by Anglia Ruskin University, the UK’s 13th largest university. 

They also become the academic partner of The Platinum Masterclass Series for ASEAN marketing and business professionals. The Series, managed by GMN Malaysia operator, Brandedge, is a programme of executive-education workshops, seminars and conferences designed to support the continuing professional development of senior executives in the region and Professional members of Global Marketing Network. 

Says Darrell Kofkin, Chief Executive of Global Marketing Network. “We are very excited about our collaboration with IPD-Open University Malaysia. Our collaboration will enable us to work together to raise standards in marketing practice in Malaysia and beyond. Global Marketing Network and IPD-Open University Malaysia will also work together to develop and deliver a range of Continuing Professional Development programmes ensuring that marketing professionals in Malaysia have access to the latest global best practices in marketing and the people driving forward those practices.

Open University Malaysia or OUM is the 7th Malaysian private university owned by the Multimedia Technology Enhancement Operations (METEOR) Sdn. Bhd, a consortium of 11 public universities in Malaysia. It leverages on the quality, prestige and capabilities of its owners - a consortium of 11 Malaysian public universities.
